In the Winter 2025 semester at Okanagan College we were assigned to create and submit a design for consideration for the Red Dot Players' (the Okanagan College threatre troupe) annual production. This year the play produced was The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Canon Doyle.

The director Jeremy Beaulne was invited to the classroom to give a presentation on the Red Dot Players, their history, previously liked designs, and a brief for what was expected of the poster design. The brief suggested using a feminine Sherlock Holmes as the lead actors of the production were women - Sherlock Holmes and Jane Watson. I was inspired by mention of hammer horrors in the brief and let that lead the inspiration for my poster design.

I created the outline for Sherlock Holmes in InDesign from a promotional picture provided by the Jeremy after the presentation meeting and the background was sourced from Foggy dorect in winter by Marc on Vecteezy. The poster is set in Baskerville with True Gore and Yuletide Log for display.

Ultimately, my proposed design was not selected but I received complimentary tickets to the performance, which was well put together and wonderfully entertaining.
